Jason Dimmick
As I entered my 30’s, I thought I was in great shape. I have always worked out consistently, either at the fire station or the gym (aka globo-gym). When Brian and Lisa first opened CrossFit Incendia, Chris “Peach” talked me into coming with him to try it out. I thought I would try CrossFit and I had no intention of coming back. I was stuck in the only way that I knew how to work out and thought CrossFit workouts were a joke. I figured I would be back at the globo-gym the next day.
I was wrong. I quickly came to the realization that I was not in as good of shape as I originally thought. In my first three months at Incendia, I lost 18 pounds and felt better than I had in years. The last two years of CrossFit have changed my life and my family’s life completely. We have a whole new perspective on health and fitness. My wife, Mandy, is doing CrossFit and Olympic Lifts (something she said she’d never do). My kids, Addie and Landon, are doing CrossFit Kids.
I have always played competition sports and my biggest passion is football. After playing high school football, I continued coaching high school football on all three levels for nine years. Coaching football has fostered my passion for coaching and I now coach my kids as they grow up and play youth sports. CrossFit give me a chance to coach more mature athletes again and I look forward to every opportunity I get to coach and help others of all ages.
CrossFit Incendia is a great community. I look forward to seeing you in a class soon.
